Bjørn Kristensen
Bjørn Kristensen is a Maltese midfielder born in Marsaskala on 5 April 1993. He began playing at Hibernians’ nursery at the age of four. At 14, he moved to Denmark, where he developed at Hessel Gods Football School and Silkeborg IF between 2008 and 2010. Returning to Malta, he rejoined Hibernians and has spent his senior career with the club. Kristensen has helped Hibernians win seven major domestic titles, including Maltese Premier League championships in 2014/15, 2016/17 and 2021/22. He later became captain and represented Hibernians in UEFA qualifying campaigns. At international level, Kristensen made his Malta debut in 2012 and has earned more than 40 caps, featuring in European Championship and World Cup qualifying matches.
