Bakar Kardava

Bakar Kardava is a Georgian defensive midfielder born in Tbilisi on 4 November 1994. He reached top-flight football with Tskhinvali in 2015, where he was used to shield the defence and gained European qualifying experience. In 2017, Kardava joined Dinamo Tbilisi, beginning a five-season spell in which he won two league titles. At Dinamo, he developed beyond a traditional ball-winner, helping recover possession and start attacks from deep positions. He moved to Saburtalo in 2022, later contributing to the club’s 2024 league triumph. That season, Bakar Kardava was selected for the Erovnuli Liga Team of the Year. Standing 1.85m, he offers defensive coverage and can operate in central midfield roles when required. He remains part of Saburtalo’s squad, combining positional discipline with safe distribution.
