Benjamin Kabeya Muteba
Benjamin Kabeya Muteba is a Swiss right-back who developed through SC Münchenbuchsee and FC Köniz before progressing to the BSC Young Boys academy. He helped Young Boys win the Swiss U18 Championship in 2019 and the Liga Classic title in 2021. In August 2022, Kabeya moved to the United States to play for the University of North Carolina’s Tar Heels. During the 2022 season, he made 14 appearances, starting nine matches, and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team. He returned to Switzerland in February 2023 with FC Biel-Bienne before rejoining BSC Young Boys in July. Since then, he has featured primarily for Young Boys II in the Swiss Promotion League. Kabeya has also entered the first-team environment, with his defensive role complemented by the ability to operate in midfield.
