Bauyrzhan Islamkhan
Bauyrzhan Islamkhan is a Kazakhstan midfielder from Taraz, born on 23 February 1993. He developed at FC Taraz, made his senior debut in 2011, and became the club’s captain in 2012, when he was named Kazakhstan’s Young Player of the Year. In 2013, Islamkhan moved to Kuban Krasnodar, but returned to Kazakhstan after failing to make a league appearance for the Russian club. He subsequently joined FC Astana on loan before moving permanently to Kairat Almaty in 2014. At Kairat, he helped win four Kazakhstan Cups, in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018, while establishing himself as a creative attacking midfielder. Islamkhan debuted for Kazakhstan in 2012 and later captained the national team. After a two-year ban from football, he returned with Ordabasy, helped them win the 2023 league title, and returned to FC Astana in 2025.
