Brendan Daniel Hines-Ike

Brendan Daniel Hines-Ike is an American defender born in Denver on November 30, 1994. He developed with the Chivas USA academy, captaining the under-18 side before beginning his college career at Creighton and finishing at the University of South Florida. At USF, Hines-Ike served as a senior captain and earned First Team All-Conference recognition. After being drafted by Montreal in 2016, he moved to Sweden and played for Örebro SK, making 70 appearances. His performances led to a transfer to Belgian club Kortrijk, where he made more than 50 appearances and continued developing as a center-back. Hines-Ike returned to MLS with D.C. United in 2021, scoring on his league debut against NYCFC. He joined Austin as a free agent in 2024 and has since become an important central defender for the club.
