Bruno Ecuele Manga

Bruno Ecuele Manga is a Gabonese centre-back born in Libreville on 16 July 1988. He developed with FC 105 Libreville before moving to Bordeaux in 2006, where he played for the reserves and made a UEFA Cup appearance. He spent six months on loan at Rodez in 2008, then established himself with Angers, making 58 appearances and scoring five goals across two seasons. In 2010, Ecuele Manga joined Lorient and became captain by 2012–13, strengthening his reputation as an aerially strong defender. He moved to Cardiff City in 2014 and helped the club win promotion to the Premier League in 2017–18. During Cardiff’s 2018–19 top-flight campaign, he played 38 matches. Ecuele Manga has also represented Gabon since 2006, combining central-defensive authority with experience at right-back.
