Benjamin James Chilwell

Benjamin James Chilwell is an English left-back from Milton Keynes who plays with his left foot. He developed at Leicester City after joining the academy at 12, having initially played in midfield before settling into defence. Chilwell made his senior breakthrough at Leicester and became the club’s first-choice left-back during its later Premier League years. His progressive running and crossing established him as an attacking outlet while his defensive work supported the side’s build-up. In August 2020, he moved to Chelsea, where he added an overlapping threat and also operated in advanced wide positions. Chilwell helped Chelsea win the 2021 UEFA Champions League, contributing on the route to victory over Manchester City. He has also been involved with England and, following later changes in his career, is listed with Strasbourg.
