Bersant Celina

Bersant Celina is a Kosovo international midfielder born on 9 September 1996 in Prizren, Kosovo. His family moved to Norway, where he developed at Strømsgodset before joining Manchester City’s academy in 2012. Celina signed his first professional contract in July 2014 and made his senior debut against Norwich City in the FA Cup in January 2016. He then made Premier League history as the first Kosovar to appear in the competition, assisting Sergio Agüero against Leicester City that February. After loan spells with Twente and Ipswich Town, he joined Swansea City and later moved to Dijon, where he played during the club’s Ligue 1 campaign and subsequent relegation. At international level, Celina represented Norway through under-21 football before choosing Kosovo, for whom he became the youngest goalscorer in 2015.
