Brandt James Bronico

Brandt James Bronico is an American midfielder born in Westminster, Maryland, who developed his game in North Carolina. At the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he scored 25 goals and supplied 23 assists in 74 matches from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, Bronico won Conference USA Player of the Year, Offensive MVP and the Golden Boot. Chicago Fire selected him in the third round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, beginning a four-season professional spell in which he made 66 appearances. After Chicago declined his option in 2020, Charlotte acquired his rights in December that year. Bronico spent 2021 on loan with Charlotte Independence before joining Charlotte FC for its inaugural 2022 season, appearing in the club’s first starting XI. He became Charlotte’s first player to reach 100 appearances in 2024.
