Bright Akwo Arrey-Mbi
Bright Akwo Arrey-Mbi is a German defender born in Kaarst on 26 March 2003. He began developing in England, spending time with Bedford FC and Norwich City before joining Chelsea’s academy in 2014. In 2019, Arrey-Mbi moved to Bayern München, where he continued his development at the club’s campus alongside other highly rated young players. He made his senior Bayern debut in December 2020, starting against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League at the age of 17. A 2022 loan to 1.FC Köln did not bring first-team minutes, and the agreement was ended. Arrey-Mbi then joined Hannover 96, initially on loan and later permanently, recording 16 appearances in the 2023–24 season. In July 2024, he transferred to SC Braga, adding Portuguese football to his experience. He has also represented Germany at under-21 level.
