André Filipe Russo Franco

André Franco is a Portuguese midfielder born in Lisbon on 12 April 1998. He developed at Sporting CP and was part of the club’s under-19 side that won the national title in 2016–17, while also spending time on loan at C.F. Os Belenenses. Franco continued his progression with Estoril Praia, first featuring for the under-23s before helping the senior team win the LigaPro title in 2020–21. In his first Primeira Liga season, 2021–22, he scored 11 goals and supplied four assists as Estoril established itself in the top flight. His performances earned him a move to FC Porto in August 2022, where he contributed as a versatile midfielder in possession and defensive phases. André Franco was part of Porto squads that won the Primeira Liga in 2022–23 and the Portuguese Cups in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, he joined Chicago Fire FC, adding creativity and assists during his early MLS appearances.
