André Lourenço Duarte

André Duarte is a Portuguese defender who operates primarily as a central defender. Born on 12 September 1997, André Lourenço Duarte developed in the Lisbon-area football system, spending time with Sporting CP, SG Sacavenense, Alverca and Praiense. He joined CF Estrela da Amadora in 2020 and made more than 40 appearances during a productive spell that established him as a regular defensive presence. In 2022, he moved to FC U Craiova 1948 in Romania, where he played 40 matches and was named the club’s Player of the Year. Duarte then continued his career abroad with NK Osijek, including a loan period at Italian club Reggiana. He subsequently played for Újpest FC, making 29 appearances in the 2024/25 campaign. In January 2026, he joined FCSB, adding a 1.95-metre centre-back to the Romanian club’s squad.
