Álvaro García Rivera

Álvaro García is a Spanish left winger, born in Utrera on 27 October 1992. He developed through CG Goyu-Ryu before joining CD Utrera in 2011. García made his senior debut during the 2011–12 season and moved to San Fernando CD in Segunda División B in early 2013. His performances there earned him a move to Granada CF, where he made his professional debut against Osasuna in August 2013. A loan spell with Racing de Santander followed, giving the forward further experience in Segunda División. García then joined Cádiz CF, initially on loan, and became an important attacking outlet during the club’s promotion campaign before making the move permanent. In 2018, he signed for Rayo Vallecano, where he operates mainly from the left, using acceleration, diagonal runs and work rate to stretch defences and support link play.
