Alisson Ramsés Becker

Alisson Ramsés Becker is a Brazilian goalkeeper born in Novo Hamburgo on October 2, 1992. He joined Internacional’s academy in 2002, developed through the club’s youth system, and made his senior debut in 2013. Initially a backup to his brother Muriel and Dida, Alisson eventually became Internacional’s first-choice goalkeeper and won the Campeonato Gaúcho in four consecutive seasons. He transferred to AS Roma in 2016, spending his first Italian season behind Wojciech Szczęsny before taking the starting role. In 2017–18, Alisson was named Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year and helped Roma reach the Champions League semi-finals. Liverpool signed him in 2018, and he quickly became central to a team that won the Champions League in 2019. His proactive work beyond the goal line, calm distribution and strength in one-on-one situations have made him a defining modern sweeper-keeper, while he has also helped Liverpool win Premier League titles in 2020 and 2024–25 and represented Brazil internationally.
