Ali Youssef Ibrahim Al-Musrati

Ali Youssef Ibrahim Al-Musrati is a Libyan defender who has developed from domestic football into a European professional. He began his senior career with Al Ahli SC of Benghazi, representing one of Libya’s established clubs. Ahead of the 2024–25 season, he moved to Tunisia’s Club Africain, where he reportedly made 38 league appearances and scored six goals as a defender. That spell led to a transfer to FC Nantes in France’s Ligue 1, extending his career into a major European league. Ali Youssef made his Libya debut against Niger on 26 March 2022 and has featured in the country’s World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaigns. He was sent off against Mauritius in a 2–1 World Cup qualifying defeat on 6 June 2024. Primarily a centre-back, he has also been used in defensive midfield and occasionally at left-back, contributing aerial strength and composed passing from the defensive line.
