Alexsandro Victor de Souza Ribeiro

Alexsandro Ribeiro is a Brazilian defender who plays for Lille. Born in 1999, he developed in Brazil with Flamengo and Resende before moving to Portugal to continue his professional career. He represented Praiense and Amora in the Portuguese lower divisions, then joined GD Chaves. At Chaves, Alexsandro helped the club earn promotion to the Primeira Liga, bringing him to Lille in July 2022. He made his Lille debut in a 4–1 victory over Auxerre and later scored his first goal for the club against Monaco. A tall centre-back, Alexsandro is used primarily in central defence and is noted for his work in build-up, positioning and aerial duels. In June 2025, he received his first Brazil call-up and made his international debut in a 1–0 win over Paraguay.
