Álex Sala Herrero

Álex Sala is a Spanish central midfielder born in Barcelona on 9 April 2001. He began at UD Viladecans and joined Barcelona’s academy at age 10, later continuing his development with Catalan clubs including UE Cornellà, EF Gavà and CE L’Hospitalet. Sala returned to Barcelona’s youth setup before leaving in January 2021 for Girona, where he made his Segunda División debut while also featuring mainly for the reserves. He then spent the 2022–23 season on loan at CE Sabadell, gaining senior experience in the third tier. A subsequent spell with Córdoba CF became a major step forward, as he helped the club win promotion to the second division and established himself as a regular midfielder. Sala is now listed with Mallorca, where his 1.85-metre frame and central midfield role add a further chapter to his developing career.
