Alexandre Moreno Lopera

Álex Moreno, whose full name is Alexandre Moreno Lopera, is a Spanish left-back born in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia on 8 June 1993. He developed at Vilafranca and moved into FC Barcelona’s youth system in 2011, later beginning his senior career with Llagostera and Mallorca. Moreno joined Rayo Vallecano in 2014 and became a regular, helping the club win the 2017–18 Segunda División title. In 2019, he moved to Real Betis, where his attacking runs from the left complemented his defensive work and he helped win the 2021–22 Copa del Rey. Aston Villa signed him in January 2023, giving him Premier League experience as an energetic attacking full-back. After a loan spell with Nottingham Forest in 2024–25, he returned to Spain and joined Girona in August 2025. Comfortable as a left-back or wing-back, Moreno uses pace to overlap, recover and support build-up.
