Alexandre dos Santos Ferreira
Alexandre dos Santos Ferreira, known as Álex dos Santos, is a Brazilian goalkeeper born in Xinguara on 15 January 1999. He developed in Spain with Don Benito Balompié AD before joining Atlético Madrid’s youth setup in 2011. Atlético retained Álex dos Santos through its academy, and he gained European experience with 15 UEFA Youth League appearances between 2016 and 2019. On 23 September 2018, he made his senior debut for Atlético Madrid B in a 4–2 win over CDA Navalcarnero. Initially a reserve goalkeeper, he became Atlético B’s regular starter in the 2019–20 season after Miguel San Román’s departure. In 2020, Álex moved to NK Lokomotiva Zagreb and later continued his career in Spain with Getafe B, CD Toledo and Móstoles. Standing 1.85 metres, he brings experience from Atlético’s development system and senior football in Spain and Croatia.
