Alejandro Rego Mora

Alejandro Rego Mora is a Spanish defender from Bilbao, born on 11 June 2003, who developed through the Basque football system. He began at SD Indautxu and Santutxu FC before joining Athletic Club’s Lezama academy in 2017 at under-15 level. Rego continued his progression with CD Basconia, making his senior debut in 2021 and recording 35 appearances during the 2021–22 season. He then moved to Bilbao Athletic, where he made 86 appearances and scored five goals across three seasons from 2022 to 2025. After impressing in Athletic Club’s 2025 pre-season, Rego made his first-team debut on 17 August in a 3–2 victory over Sevilla. Standing 1.92 metres tall, Alejandro Rego offers a strong aerial presence and can contribute to defensive midfield work when required. He remains part of Athletic Club’s squad.
