Alejandro Iturbe Encabo

Alejandro Iturbe is a Spanish goalkeeper born in Madrid on 2 September 2003. He developed in Atlético Madrid’s youth system before progressing to Atlético Madrid B, where he made his senior debut in a 2–2 draw with CD Coria on 18 September 2022. During the 2022/23 season, Iturbe became the reserve side’s primary goalkeeper and helped Atlético Madrid B win promotion to the Primera Federación. He was included in Spain’s squad for the 2024 Olympic Games, serving as third-choice goalkeeper as the team won the gold medal. In the 2024/25 campaign, he continued to feature for Atlético Madrid B, producing notable saves against Villarreal B and Fuenlabrada. Iturbe then moved to Elche in July 2025, seeking a route to regular senior football. At 1.86 metres, he combines close-range reflexes with proactive positioning and distribution.
