Aleix García Serrano
Aleix García is a Spanish central midfielder born in Ulldecona in 1997. He developed at Villarreal, making his senior debut for the club’s reserves in 2014 before joining Manchester City in 2015. García scored his first senior goal for City in an EFL Cup victory over Swansea City in September 2016. He later joined Girona on loan and spent the following season at Royal Excel Mouscron. After becoming a free agent, he signed for Eibar in 2021 and returned to Girona that summer. At Girona, García moved into a deeper midfield role, using his passing to support build-up and switch play as the club rose to Spain’s top flight. He made his Spain debut in November 2023, and Bayer Leverkusen signed him in 2024.
