Aitor Paredes Casamichana
Aitor Paredes is a Spanish centre-back born in Bilbao on 29 April 2000. He began at Etorkizun KT before joining Athletic Club’s Lezama academy in 2010, entering at Under-11 level and progressing through its youth teams. Paredes made his senior debut for CD Basconia in 2018, then moved to Bilbao Athletic in late 2019 and helped the reserve side through the 2020–21 promotion play-offs. He made his Athletic first-team debut on 29 August 2022, coming on in a 4–0 win over Cádiz. After gaining opportunities during the 2022–23 season, he became a regular starter in 2023–24. Internationally, he helped Spain win the 2018 Mediterranean Games with the Under-18s and started the 2023 European Under-21 Championship final, which Spain lost to England. Paredes made his senior Spain debut in a 3–2 Nations League win over Switzerland on 18 November 2024.
