Aihen Muñoz Capellán

Aihen Muñoz is a Spanish left-back born in San Sebastián on 16 August 1997. He joined Real Sociedad’s Zubieta academy at 13 and developed through CD Berio FT and Real Sociedad B, adapting from a winger into a defensive role. Muñoz made his La Liga debut on 6 January 2019, starting for Real Sociedad in a 2–0 away win against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu. He was promoted to the senior squad later that year and became part of the team that won the 2019–20 Copa del Rey. At 1.75 metres, Aihen Muñoz offers a technical presence on the left, combining short passing, width and pressure-focused defending. He contributes through positioning and recovery work rather than relying solely on physical power. His career has included serious setbacks, including ACL injuries in 2016 and January 2024, but he has continued his association with Real Sociedad.
