Aarón Martín Caricol

Aarón Martín Caricol is a Spanish defender who operates primarily at left-back. Born in Montmeló on 22 April 1997, he joined Espanyol’s academy in 2005. He advanced through the club’s system, making his senior reserve debut in 2015. On 2 October 2016, Martín made his La Liga debut for Espanyol as a second-half substitute against Villarreal. He moved to Mainz 05 in 2018, initially on loan before completing a permanent transfer. A loan at Celta Vigo in 2021 added another La Liga chapter before he joined Genoa in July 2023. At Genoa, Aarón Martín has continued to provide width and crossing from the left while contributing to build-up play and defensive recovery. He also represented Spain at youth level, winning the European Under-19 Championship in 2015 and the Under-21 title in 2019.
