Arsen Zakharyan

Arsen Zakharyan is a Russian attacking midfielder born in Samara on 26 May 2003. He developed at the Yuri Konoplyov Football Academy before joining Dynamo Moscow, where he made his Russian Premier League debut in November 2020 at 17. Zakharyan quickly became a regular and was named Dynamo’s Player of the Season in his first two full campaigns. He was included in Russia’s provisional squad for Euro 2020, although illness prevented his participation in the tournament. In August 2023, Zakharyan moved to Real Sociedad on a six-year contract, beginning a new stage in Spain. At Real Sociedad, he has been used as an attacking midfielder and also operated on either wing or as a central number eight. His game combines quick passing, movement between the lines, set-piece delivery and intelligent positioning when pressing, while Zakharyan continues to adapt to La Liga’s demands.
