Ayumu Seko
Ayumu Seko is a Japanese defender born in Osaka on 7 June 2000. He developed in the Cerezo Osaka academy and gained senior experience with the club’s under-23 side in the J3 League, making his professional debut in 2016. After progressing to Cerezo’s first team, Seko enjoyed a breakthrough 2020 season, winning both the J.League Best Young Player award and the Levain Cup New Hero Award. He moved to Grasshoppers in January 2022 and established himself in Swiss football before joining Le Havre in July 2025. At Le Havre, Seko has continued to offer defensive versatility, operating primarily as a centre-back while also featuring in defensive midfield. He made his Japan debut against Uruguay in March 2023, adding international experience to his European career.
