Amar Sejdić

Amar Sejdić is an American midfielder born in Berlin, Germany, on November 29, 1996. He trained with Vitesse Arnhem in the Netherlands and the Real Salt Lake Under-18 Academy. Sejdić then played for the University of Maryland, becoming captain and helping the Terrapins win the 2018 College Cup. He scored the final’s only goal, a penalty against Akron, and was named College Cup Offensive MVP. Selected 34th overall by Montreal in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, he joined CF Montréal and won the Canadian Championship that year. Sejdić moved to Atlanta United in 2021, later played for Nashville SC in 2024, and joined Columbus Crew in 2025. He evolved from an attacking midfield role into a deeper connector valued for passing, ball retention and defensive work. At Columbus, Amar Sejdić provides midfield depth and technical flexibility in Major League Soccer.
