Albert-Mboyo Sambi Lokonga

Albert-Mboyo Sambi Lokonga is a Belgian central midfielder born in Verviers on 22 October 1999. He developed at Anderlecht, joining the club’s Neerpede academy at 10 and captaining youth sides before making his senior debut against KAS Eupen in December 2017. At Anderlecht, Sambi Lokonga established himself as a progressive passer who could move play through the lines and organise possession from central areas. Arsenal signed him in July 2021, giving him experience in English football and competition for a midfield role. He subsequently spent time on loan at Crystal Palace, Luton Town and Sevilla, adapting to different tactical demands. His 2023–24 campaign with Luton was described as a breakthrough, while his Sevilla spell further highlighted his passing ability. In September 2025, he moved to Hamburger SV, continuing his career in Germany.
