Albert Rusnák

Albert Rusnák is a Slovak midfielder born in Vyškov, Czechia, and raised in Slovakia. He developed at Manchester City after moving there as a teenager, then gained senior experience with Oldham Athletic and Birmingham City before joining Dutch club SC Cambuur. In 2015, Rusnák moved to Groningen, where he scored twice in the KNVB Cup final as the club won its first major trophy. He transferred to Real Salt Lake in 2017 and became a prominent attacking midfielder, producing double-digit goals and assists in multiple MLS seasons. Rusnák joined Seattle Sounders as a Designated Player in 2022 and adapted to a deeper midfield role while helping the club win the CONCACAF Champions League. He later returned to a more advanced position, recording a Seattle single-season record of 16 regular-season assists in 2024. At international level, he chose Slovakia and has represented the country in senior competition, including its Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.
