Andreas Poulsen

Andreas Poulsen is a Danish left-back, born in Ikast on 13 October 1999. He developed at Ikast KFUM before joining the FC Midtjylland academy, where he progressed into first-team football and debuted against Silkeborg as a teenager. During the 2017–18 season, Poulsen was named Midtjylland’s Academy Player of the Year and helped the club win the Danish Superliga title. Borussia Mönchengladbach signed him in 2018, after which he gained experience with the club’s second team and spent loan spells at Austria Wien and FC Ingolstadt. He returned to Denmark with Aalborg in 2022 before joining Silkeborg, initially on loan and then permanently in 2024. Poulsen also represented Denmark through the under-21 level, carrying his attacking instincts and physical presence into his modern full-back role.
