Amos Pieper

Amos Pieper is a German centre-back born on 17 January 1998 in Lüdinghausen. He developed with FC Nordkirchen and Union Lüdinghausen before joining Borussia Dortmund’s academy in 2010. With Dortmund’s under-19 side, Pieper won the 2016–17 German championship, scoring the decisive penalty in the final shootout against Bayern Munich. In January 2019, he moved to Arminia Bielefeld, where he became a regular and helped the club win the 2. Bundesliga title and promotion in 2020. After Bielefeld’s relegation in 2022, Pieper joined Werder Bremen on a free transfer. His 1.92-metre frame supports his work in aerial contests, while his centre-back role also involves advancing the ball from defence. Pieper represented Germany at under-21 level, won the 2021 European Championship and was included in the Olympic squad.
