Andy Joseph Pelmard

Andy Joseph Pelmard is a right-footed centre-back from Nice, France, who can also operate at full-back. He developed at OGC Nice and made his Ligue 1 debut against Amiens on 23 February 2019. Pelmard represented France at under-17 and under-21 level, including the 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and FIFA Under-17 World Cup. In July 2021, he joined FC Basel on loan before the move became permanent, establishing himself as a regular in Switzerland. He made 116 appearances for Basel and helped the club reach the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League semi-finals. Pelmard returned to France with Clermont Foot in July 2023 and started 34 league matches during the 2023–24 campaign. Andy Pelmard offers controlled short passing, clearances and mobile cover in defensive positions, with versatility across the back line.
