Antonios Papadopoulos

Antonios Papadopoulos is a German midfielder born in Stuttgart on 10 September 1999. He developed in the Stuttgart area with SC Weinstadt and Stuttgarter Kickers before continuing at FSV Waiblingen and VfR Aalen. Papadopoulos began his senior career with Aalen, making his 3. Liga debut during the 2018–19 season. In 2019, he joined Hallescher FC, where he established himself as a holding midfielder and made 60 appearances across two seasons. He moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2021, initially joining Dortmund II while also making senior appearances in the DFB-Pokal, Bundesliga and Champions League. His Dortmund spell included a first Bundesliga start against Augsburg in May 2024, although he remained primarily a rotational senior player and a leader for the under-23 side. Papadopoulos joined FC Lugano in June 2024, continuing his development in Switzerland while offering physicality and defensive discipline from midfield.
