Anar Nəzirov

Anar Nəzirov is an Azerbaijani goalkeeper born on 8 September 1985. He developed within Azerbaijan’s domestic game and built an important early chapter of his career at Qabala. Nəzirov later moved to Zira, where he became a regular presence during the club’s rise in the top flight, making 83 appearances from 2015 to 2019. After another spell with Qabala, he returned to Zira on 2 July 2021. For Azerbaijan, Nəzirov made his senior international debut against Uzbekistan in February 2013 and was involved with the national team between 2012 and 2016. He is described as a line-focused goalkeeper who also supports build-up with his distribution. At 1.87 metres, Nəzirov remains a veteran figure in Zira’s squad and offers experience to younger goalkeepers.
