Arijanet Murić

Arijanet Murić is a Kosovo international goalkeeper born in Zürich, Switzerland, on 7 November 1998. He began as an outfield player before moving into goal at 11, then developed with Young Fellows Juventus, FC Zürich and Grasshopper Club Zürich. Manchester City signed Murić in 2016, and he returned from a loan at NAC Breda in 2018 after Claudio Bravo was injured. He featured prominently in City’s 2018–19 cup campaign, including a League Cup quarter-final shootout against Leicester City in which he saved two penalties. Subsequent loans took him to Nottingham Forest, Girona, Willem II and Adana Demirspor, where he gained regular experience and recorded 10 clean sheets in 32 matches. Murić joined Burnley in 2022 and helped Vincent Kompany’s side win the Championship with 101 points, contributing 19 clean sheets and earning PFA Championship Team of the Year recognition. After a spell with Ipswich Town, the 1.98-metre goalkeeper is listed with Sassuolo, while Murić represents Kosovo internationally.
