Asen Ivanov Mitkov

Asen Ivanov Mitkov is a Bulgarian midfielder who plays for Levski Sofia. Born on 17 February 2005, he began playing at Gigant Saedinenie before joining the Botev Plovdiv academy in 2016. Mitkov moved to Levski Sofia in 2019 and progressed through the club’s youth system. He signed his first professional contract in 2021 and made his senior debut that year, appearing in Levski’s 2–1 victory over Cherno More on 21 May. His first reported league goal came on 14 September 2023, when Levski defeated Pirin Blagoevgrad 2–0. Primarily a central midfielder, Mitkov can also operate in an advanced playmaking role, using close control, passing and vision to connect defence with attack. He has represented Bulgaria at under-17 and under-19 level and is part of the Bulgaria Under-21 setup.
