Aljoscha Kemlein

Aljoscha Kemlein is a German midfielder who developed in Berlin before becoming part of Union Berlin’s senior setup. He began at SC Berliner Amateure and joined Union’s academy in 2016, later captaining teams in the club’s youth ranks. Kemlein signed his first professional contract with Union on 1 September 2022 and made his professional debut as a late substitute in a 4–1 win over Mainz in August 2023. He then made his European debut against Real Madrid in the Champions League that September. In January 2024, Kemlein moved to FC St. Pauli on loan, making 17 appearances and supplying two assists as the club won the 2. Bundesliga and earned promotion. Returning to Union, he scored his first Bundesliga goal against Holstein Kiel in 2024–25. Kemlein has also progressed through Germany’s youth teams and is associated with the Germany U20 and Germany U21 squads.
