Aidan Keena

Aidan Keena is an Irish forward from Mullingar who developed through Mullingar Athletic, Shelbourne’s under-17s and the St Patrick’s Athletic academy. He made his senior breakthrough with St Patrick’s before moving to Heart of Midlothian in 2017. During his Scottish spell, Keena spent time on loan with Queen’s Park and Dunfermline Athletic, and later continued his career with Hartlepool United and Falkirk. He returned to Ireland with Sligo Rovers in January 2022, finishing that Premier Division season as the league’s leading scorer with 18 goals and scoring in European competition against Bala Town and Motherwell. His form led to a move to Cheltenham Town in 2023 before he came back to St Patrick’s Athletic in July 2024. Keena offers a centre-forward presence through finishing, hold-up play and movement, while also contributing to link play and pressing.
