Aleksey Isaev

Aleksey Isaev is an Azerbaijani central midfielder born on 9 November 1995 in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. He began his senior career with Yenisey Krasnoyarsk, making his Russian Football National League debut in 2014. In 2016, Isaev joined Zenit Saint Petersburg and principally played for Zenit-2 before returning to Yenisey on loan for the 2017–18 season. He moved to Azerbaijan in 2018 with Sumgayit, where he continued developing as a technical midfield presence. After joining Sabah FK in 2020, he became an established starter, operating as a deep-lying playmaker or box-to-box midfielder. Qarabag signed Isaev in January 2024, and he was part of the squad that won the 2023–24 Premyer Liqa title and Azerbaijan Cup. He has also represented Azerbaijan internationally, making his debut against Portugal in a World Cup qualifier in 2021.
