Aliyu Ibrahim

Aliyu Ibrahim is a Nigerian winger born in Kano on January 16, 2002. He developed at Oasis FC and Footwork FC before attracting attention in Nigeria’s youth football system. In 2019, he represented Nigeria at the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations, where the team reached the semi-finals. Ibrahim moved to Croatia in January 2020 for a trial with NK Lokomotiva Zagreb and subsequently joined the club’s youth setup. He made his Lokomotiva first-team debut against Istra 1961 in October 2020, then scored his first professional goal against Dinamo Zagreb the following month. After three seasons in Zagreb, Houston Dynamo signed Aliyu in April 2023. He helped Houston win the 2023 U.S. Open Cup and remains associated with the club, combining wide attacking play with pressing, running and direct movement.
