Abbas Hüseynov
Abbas Hüseynov is an Azerbaijani right-back, born in Gəncə on 13 June 1995. His formal development included Keşla FK, now linked with Şamaxı FK, where he began his senior career in 2014. After three seasons there, Hüseynov joined Qarabağ in July 2017 and remains part of the club’s squad. With Qarabağ, he won six Azerbaijan Premier League titles: 2017–18, 2018–19, 2019–20, 2021–22, 2022–23 and 2023–24. He also lifted the Azerbaijan Cup in 2021–22 and 2023–24. Internationally, Hüseynov represented Azerbaijan at under-21 level before making his senior debut against Moldova in January 2018. Primarily a right-sided defender, he has also operated as a modern wing-back for Qarabağ and Azerbaijan.
