Andréas Hountondji

Andréas Hountondji is a Beninese centre-forward born in Montry, France, on 11 July 2002. He developed in the Île-de-France region before joining Caen in 2018, progressing through the club’s youth and reserve sides. Hountondji made his Ligue 2 debut for Caen in April 2021, then gained senior experience during spells with Quevilly-Rouen and Orléans. A loan to Rodez in 2023–24 brought 14 league goals and 16 in all competitions, helping the club reach fourth place and the promotion play-offs. He joined Burnley in July 2024, moving into English football after his breakthrough season in France. At 1.90 metres and with a preferred right foot, he offers a central presence and can use his pace in transition. Hountondji represents Benin and made his international debut against Senegal in June 2023.
