Andrew Albert Hernandez

Andrew Albert Hernandez is a Gibraltarian defensive midfielder born in Gibraltar on 10 January 1999. He began his development with Cádiz CF before returning home to join Manchester 62, where a trial with Chesterfield offered experience of English football. Hernandez made his senior debut for Gibraltar United in 2016–17, playing alongside his brother and establishing himself in the domestic game. In July 2018, he moved to Lincoln Red Imps FC, then joined St Joseph’s in January 2019 after limited league opportunities. At St Joseph’s, Hernandez became a regular midfielder and featured in UEFA Europa League and Conference League qualifying campaigns. He later played for Europa FC and Lions Gibraltar before joining Magpies in July 2025. Internationally, he started Gibraltar’s 1–0 competitive victory away to Armenia in 2018 and has represented the country at senior and youth levels.
