Aldayr Hernández Basanta

Aldayr Hernández Basanta is a Colombian defender born in Magangué on 4 August 1995. He developed in Colombia and came through Bogotá FC, where his progress earned involvement with the Colombia under-20 setup. Hernández later moved to Finland, spending several seasons with HIFK and FC Honka. At Honka, he featured prominently during the 2023 Veikkausliiga campaign, making 28 appearances. In January 2024, Hernández joined Kauno Žalgiris in Lithuania and continued his career in European football. He has also appeared in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying, adding continental experience to his domestic campaigns. At 182 centimetres, Hernández operates in defence and brings experience from both Finnish and Lithuanian football. His career reflects a steady progression from Colombian development to established European competition.
