Arttu Heinonen
Arttu Heinonen is a Finnish midfielder who plays for Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS). He developed in KuPS’s youth system and continued his early senior progression with affiliated side SC KuFu-98 in Finland’s Kakkonen. His productive 2019 and 2020 campaigns included nine goals in 15 matches and five in six, respectively. Heinonen was part of KuPS’s 2019 Veikkausliiga title-winning squad and its 2021 Finnish Cup triumph. For the 2022 season, he joined FC Lahti, making 18 league appearances and scoring once before returning to KuPS in 2023. Back in Kuopio, he scored five league goals in both 2023 and 2024, helping KuPS win the 2024 Finnish Cup and Veikkausliiga title. Arttu Heinonen has operated as an attacking or wide midfielder, with his role later emphasizing passing and creation; in 2025, he recorded two league assists.
