Amine Harit

Amine Harit is a Moroccan attacking midfielder born in Pontoise, France, on 18 June 1997. He developed in the Paris region before joining Nantes, where he progressed through the academy and made his senior debut in 2016. With Nantes, Harit helped France win the 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, although later represented Morocco after switching allegiance in 2017. In 2017, he transferred to FC Schalke 04 and was named Bundesliga Rookie of the Year for 2017–18, a campaign that included his goal in the 4–4 Revierderby against Borussia Dortmund. After Schalke’s relegation, Harit moved to Marseille on loan in 2021, and the transfer became permanent in 2022. Operating mainly as a No. 10, Amine Harit uses close control, acceleration and changes of direction to carry the ball through tight spaces and create chances. A serious knee injury in November 2022 ruled him out of Morocco’s run to the 2022 World Cup semi-finals, but he returned to contribute creatively for Marseille.
