Andreas Schjølberg Hanche-Olsen
Andreas Schjølberg Hanche-Olsen is a Norwegian defender born in Bodø on 17 January 1997. He developed with Øvrevoll Hosle IL before joining Stabæk’s academy in 2013 and signing his first professional contract in 2015. Hanche-Olsen established himself in Stabæk’s senior side and became the club’s captain in 2018 at the age of 21. In October 2020, he moved to Belgian club Gent, scoring on his league debut against Cercle Brugge and also appearing in the UEFA Europa League. He helped Gent win the Belgian Cup in the 2021–22 season. In January 2023, Hanche-Olsen transferred to Bundesliga side FSV Mainz 05, continuing his career in Germany. A centre-back noted for aerial strength and assertive defending, he has also contributed to build-up play and represented Norway at international level.
