Amadou Haidara

Amadou Haidara is a Malian midfielder born in Bamako on 31 January 1998. After developing at the JMG Academy Bamako, he represented Mali at the 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup, where the team reached the final. He joined the Red Bull system in Austria, progressing through FC Liefering before establishing himself with Red Bull Salzburg. With Salzburg, Haidara won the 2017 UEFA Youth League and gained senior European experience. In January 2019, he transferred to RB Leipzig, where his energetic, press-resistant midfield play made him a regular across seven seasons. He helped Leipzig win the DFB-Pokal and scored against Manchester United in the 2020 Champions League group stage. Haidara made his senior Mali debut in 2017 and featured in Africa Cup of Nations squads. He later continued his career with Lens, bringing ball-winning, passing and box-to-box qualities to French football.
