Anto Grgić

Anto Grgić is a Swiss midfielder born in Schlieren on 28 November 1996. He developed in Zurich’s youth system, moving from Grasshopper Club Zürich to FC Zürich in 2009. Grgić broke into the FC Zürich first team during the 2015–16 season, winning the Swiss Cup while also experiencing relegation. In July 2016, he joined VfB Stuttgart and helped the club win the 2. Bundesliga title in 2017, although regular top-flight minutes proved difficult to secure. Grgić returned to Switzerland with FC Sion in January 2018, where he matured into a deep-lying, ball-winning midfielder who distributed patiently and threatened from set pieces. Since 2023, he has represented FC Lugano, operating centrally to support ball progression, tempo control and defensive coverage while bringing experience from his spells at Zurich, Stuttgart and Sion.
